Classic Italian eggplant with high yields and no spines. This old standard, purplish-black smooth oval fruit to 160mm, delicate flavour, bushy spreading plant to 80cm. Does particularly well in the southern Australian areas. Blocky, nearly black bell-shaped fruits have a slight signature ribbing. Medium to thick skin is deep purple and glossy when mature. Compact plants benefit from staking to support heavy yields of large fruit.

How To Sow

Sow in seed raising pots and cover seed with 5mm of soil. Transport seedlings at 6cm into garden position spaced 60cm apart or in large pot.
