Mizuna is a popular Japanese salad plant being a vigorous and very hardy grower. Leaves have a mild mustard flavour adding some bite to salads.  It is a fast growing annual to 50cm and very hardy, non-hearting vegetable.  Pick leaves and use as required in salads or stir-fries.  Plant in average well drained soil in sunny position.

 


How To Sow

Sow seeds into pots/punnets using a good quality seed raising mixture 5mm deep. Transplant seedlings to the garden when they are 4cm high, space 45cm apart and mulch thickly around the plant.
