(Cucurbita moschata)
These round, heavy pumpkins have a firm flesh and a flavorful profile. They are a traditional heirloom variety and can be kept for up to three months. As a result, one can enjoy a good amount of home-grown produce. Jap pumpkins, also known as Kent pumpkins, are speckled and reach a weight of around 5kg. Although they may take a bit more time to ripen, the end product makes the wait worthwhile!
