Spinach is such a wonderful veg to grown in your patch, you can extend its harvest by just cutting off the leaves when you require.  Winter Giant Spinach is a heavy yielding variety similar to english bloomsdale. The dark green ovate leaves are a rich source of vitamins and minerals, eat fresh or steamed. Sow seeds every 4 weeks for a continuous harvest. Likes moist fertile soil in full sun to part shade position.

Spinach has so many uses and can be used in salads, soups, stir-fries and steamed.  

Spinach is rich in vitamin A, B and C, mineral salts and iron and will suit a wide range of soils if kept fertile and moist. 

 

How To Sow

Sow two to three seeds 1cm deep, plant 25cm apart. Also suitable for container planting in pots.

Full Sun in cooler months, part-sun in warmer months.
