(Zea mays)

Anasazi is a drought-resistant variety of ancient American Indian origin. Growing to 2m, it produces up to 2 sizeable sweet cobs per plant. Its cobs are visually stunning, with a range of colours from purple and red to yellow and various shades in-between. It is also the quickest to mature of all our sweet corn varieties. The corn is golden in hue when ready for eating, with faint flecks of white. To best enjoy its flavour, harvest at a young age and store refrigerated for up to a week. When left to mature on the plant, its true multicolour beauty is revealed.

How To Sow

Sow seed direct into the garden by forming a furrow roughly 2cm deep. Sow a couple of seeds together then cover with 2cm of soil and keep moist until germinated. Thin out plants to the strongest seedling once they germinate. Space seeds 20cm apart and try to grow in blocks of at least 10 plants to improve pollination.
